The first fortress of Château de Menthon-Saint-Bernard was erected around 923AD. From 1180 onwards, the castle has been occupied by the Menthon family with the present buildings constructed between the 13th and 19th centuries. Nestled on a rocky outcrop, it offers a sublime view of lake Annecy and the surrounding landscape.
