Inside a Melbourne Tram

The Melbourne tram network is an iconic symbol of the city and stands as the largest operational tram system in the world. Managed by Yarra Trams (operated by Yarra Journey Makers), the massive urban rail network consists of over 250 kilometres (160 miles) of double track, 24 distinct routes, and roughly 1,700 individual tram stops spreading across the city and inner suburbs. One of the best features for visitors and commuters is the Free Tram Zone, which covers the entire inner central business district (CBD) and the Docklands waterfront precinct.
