Part of the German Pharmacy Museum inside Heidelburg Castle
The German Pharmacy Museum (Deutsches Apotheken-Museum) was placed inside Heidelberg Castle in 1957 because it needed a secure, historically appropriate home and the Castle housed its own court pharmacy and a recognized medicinal garden (Hortus Medicus) as early as the 16th century.
