Medieval fish market scene on a house in Konstanz originally painted in 1580 and restored in the 20th century. Built in 1294 by the Bishop of Konstanz, Heinrich von Klingenberg, the building spans five stories. In the late Middle Ages, it was the tallest secular (non-religious) building in the city. It was called the "High House" simply because it dramatically towered over all the neighboring residential structures.
